Mepiquat Chloride 5 % Aqueous Solution is used in agriculture as a plant growth regulator. It is used for the control of excessive vegetative growth in potato. Mepquat Chloride 5 % Aqueous solution restricts the excessive vegetative growth and effective for increasing crop yield in potato. Mepiquat Chloride 5 % Aqueous Solution is soluble in water. It works systematically in plant tissue and leads to deeper green leaft colouring after 3-6 days.

Direction Of Use
Fill the spray tank partly with water. Add Mepiquat Chloride 5 % Aqueous Solution at the recommended ap;licaztion rate. Fill up the spray tank with water with the agitator running to recommended application rate. Fill up the spray tank with water with the agitator running to ensure thorough mixing. Use a minimum of 500-600 lit/ha of water in order to obtain uniform and complete coverage of the foliage. Do not spray if rainfall is expected withing 8 hours of application as effectiveness may be reduced.
Time of Application
Apply 45 days after planting.
Precautions
Keep the material away from foodstuffs and animal feeds. Also keep the material out of reach of children and pet animals. Avoid drinking, eating or smoking during handling. Avoid inhalation. avoid anyu contact of the product with skin and eyes . While handling wear protective equipment and face shield. Wash exposed parts with plenty of soap and water.
Symptoms Of Poisoning
Ingestion, inhalation or contact may cause nasal discharge, irritation, lacrimation, salivation and urination.
First Aid
- If inhaled remove the patient into fresh air.
- If swallowed induct vomiting by tickling back of throat.
- Remove contaminated clothes,wash contaminated skin anc clothes with soap and plenty of water.
- If eyes are contaminated, wash for 15 minutes with clean water.
- Get medical help immediately.
Antidote
No specific antidote. Treat symptomatically and supportively.
Disposal Of Used Container
- It shall be the duty of manufactures , formulators of plant growth regulators and operators to dispose packages or surplus material and washing in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution
- The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.
- The packages shall be broken and burried away from habitation.
Storage Conditions
- The packages containting plant growth regulators shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms or premises used for storing other articles or shall be kept in separate almirahas under lock and key depending upon the quantity and nature of the plant growth regulators.
- The rooms or premises means for storing plant growth regulators shall be well built dry, well-lit and ventilated and of sufficient dimentions.
