Pyriproxyfen is a systemicinsect growth regulator that suppres sesembryogenesis, and inhibits metam or phosisand re production ininsects. It is used for the control of sucking peston Cotton crop & Chillicrop; White flies & Jassids on Brinjal and Okra Crop. Warning :- Not to be used on crops and pests other than mentioned on label & leaflets, not to be used for post harvest application, Dangerous/harmful to fish-Do not contaminate lakes, Rivers, Ponds or streams.

Direction Of Use

It should be applied as foliar spray. No specific soil conditions are prescribed. Do not apply at flowering and just before harvesting (after observing PHI). Uniform coverage is necessary for effective control of insect pests. A simple knapsack sprayer fitted with hollow cone nozzle type can be used for spraying. Mix the recommended dose 1/4 of the recommended quantity of water to the spray tank with agitation. Add remaining quantity of water with continuous agitation. Ensure complete dispersion of the product in mix water before spraying of the spray solution. Maintain agitation while spraying.

Time of Application

Apply as soon as the insect population beings to appear in the field but before it reaches Economic Threshold Level(ETL). Weather should be clear, clam, no rains and no strong winds. NUMBER OF APPLICATION :- 2-3 sprays are required at the interval of 7-14 days, depending upon the pest infestation. No more than three sprays in a season.

Precautions

Protective clothing should be worn while mixing and spraying. Wash contaminated clothes and body part of the body after application avoid inhalation. Do not smoke, drink, eat and chew anything during application.

Symptoms Of Poisoning

Headache, Dizziness, Weakness, Nausea and Irritation or burns of esophagus or gastrointestinal tract.

First Aid
  • If inhaled remove the patient to fresh air. Call the physician immediately.
  • In case of contact with eyes immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible) then take to a doctor.
  • If on skin wash with plenty of soap and water. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
  • If swallowed, rinse mouth with water and give 1-2 glasses of water to drink. Call the physician immediately.

Phytotoxicity

Antidote

No specific antidote is known. Apply symptomatic therapy.

Disposal Of Used Container
  • Packages or surplus material and washing from the machines and containers should be disposed of in a safe manner so as to present environment or water pollution.
  • The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use.
  • Packages shall be broken and buried away from habitation.
Storage Conditions

The packages containing the insecticide shall be stored in separate rooms or premises away from the room or premises used for storing other articles particularly food articles or shall be kept in separate almirahs under lock and keysdepending upon the quantity and nature of the insecticide. Keep out of reach of children. The store room should be well built, well lit, ventilated and sufficient dimensions. The conditions of the sore should be dry and cool.
