Deltamethrin is a synthetic pyrethroids. It is a broad-spectrum contact insecticide containing 100 g. active ingredient, Deltamethrin per lit. of formulation. Caution :- It is toxic to honey bees, spray application should be avoided during the foraging period of bees.

Direction Of Use
  • Deltamethrin 11% w/w EC can be applied by conventional manaually operated knapsack sprayer or with power operated sprayers fitted with high or low volume nozzles.
  • Take the measured quantity of Deltamethrin 11% w/w EC, add to it a small quantity of water, mix thoroughly and then add the remaining quantity of water while stirring vigorously. Do not spray facing the wind.

Time of Application

Precautions

Avoid drinking, eating or smoking during spraying. Avoid any contact of the concentrate with the eye or skin. After each spraying wash hands and exposed parts of the body thoroughly.

Symptoms Of Poisoning

Nervousness, anxiety, salivation, tremors and convulsions. Vomitting may occur if ingested. There may be allergic manifestation like hayfever, rhinitis or even asthmatic attack. Rarely there is severe anaphylactic shock including peripheral vasculercollapse. Patient shows neurological manifestation, including convulsions, muscular fibrillations and tetanic paralysis.

First Aid

In case of eye or skin contact, immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If swallowed, drink one or two glasses of water and induce vomitting. Call a doctor who will treat symptomatically.

Phytotoxicity

Antidote

No specific antidote is known. Treat supportively and symptomatically. In case of allergies antihistamines may be given.

Disposal Of Used Container

The package shall be broken and buried away from habitation. The used packages shall not be left outside to prevent their re-use. Packages or surplus material and washings should be disposed of in a safe manner so as to prevent environmental or water pollution.

Storage Conditions

The package containing the insecticide shall be stored in original containers in separate rooms or premises away from the rooms/permises used for storing other articles or shall be kept separately under lock and key. The rooms or premises meant for storing the insecticides, shall be well-lit, cool, well-ventilated, well-built, dry, ventilated and of sufficient dimension.
